Profi
In 2021, I joined Profi — a service that helps clients and professionals connect. In a year, I advanced to the position of Senior Backend Developer. After 1.5 years, I began taking on the responsibilities of a team lead. I truly love this company. I only left because I had the opportunity to work on my own project.
What I did at the company?
- Search Team - the team responsible for the order feed in the specialist's app.
- For a long time, I was the sole backend developer in the search team. Primarily focused on the development and implementation of ranking algorithms. Implemented A/B tests in search (> 30 tests).
- I love the Data Driven approach. Therefore, I wrote queries for Clickhouse, MySQL, Vertica, built dashboards, and searched for insights in data to find new ideas along with the product team.
- Single-handedly developed and deployed to production the search suggestion service.
- Optimized key endpoints of the team, reducing server response time by 40% at the 90th percentile.
- While managing team processes, I optimized the grooming and task assessment process, increasing the depth of backlog evaluation.
- Formulated SLA, SLO for the team. Worked on the technical dashboard.
Admission campaign for SurSU
In 2023, I realized my dream - together with a team, I developed a series of services for the university admissions campaign, the university I once applied to and where I studied.

The main concept is simplicity, ensuring both a first-grader and an elderly teacher can effortlessly connect and conduct a lesson. In 2022, I received a grant for the development of the service from the Foundation for the Promotion of Innovations and continue to develop EduKesha.

In 2022, I moved to Kazakhstan, where I created the 'WhoWhere' service. Initially, the service was meant to help determine who from our company is currently in which country. However, it turned out that now it's a Telegram bot for community members and friends to share information about their movements around the world, with over 30,000 users. In December, I attracted investment and left Profi to develop this product.
